Tutto Bene - Review - Southbank

Tutto Bene restaurant review, Melbourne by Howie's Melbourne Food Blog Southbank is a mecca for tourists and dare I say it younger Melbournians. Its kind of tacky in its own way but when its a glorious sunny day or evening it really is a nice place to be.  Of course there are stacks of restaurants to choose from and quite a range in price levels. Ultimately its the quality of the food that counts most.

Tutto Bene is probably in the middle ground in price level.  There are certainly more expensive establishments on Southbank but this place has a bit of character, overlooks the Yarra River, the service is great and the quality of food is top notch.  If you do want a view of the Yarra you will definitely have to book ahead.

From the complimentary rolls with olive oil, gnocchi alla romana (Roman style semolina gnocchi baked with bocconcini served with tomato sugo), seafood linguini with mussels, clams, prawns, scallops, fish, garlic, chilli and olive oil, and Osso buco, the quality of the food really stood out.

I am often disappointed with Italian restaurants but this one delivered.
